According to the new guidelines, businesses applying for Udyam Registration can submit their documents via DigiLocker, eliminating the need for physical copies or manually uploaded files.
This initiative supports the government’s vision of a paperless, efficient, and transparent process for MSME registration. Documents stored in DigiLocker are legally recognized under the Information Technology Act, 2000, and are considered equivalent to original documents, stated the notification.
